Your new company is a leading construction firm in the West of Ireland, with a rich history dating back over a century. The company has established itself as a reputable player both locally and nationally, with a strong presence in large-scale corporate projects in public sector, pharmaceuticals, hospitality, and residential developments across the country.
About Your New Role
You will lead end-to-end finance activities for the company's largest 2-3 projects as a Project Financial Controller. You will work closely with the central finance function to ensure seamless data entry, accounts payable/accounts receivable, payroll, and other financial tasks. Your primary focus will be on commercial finance, including detailed financial analysis, budgeting, cash flow management, forecasting, variance analysis, and day-to-day project finance reporting to the Finance Director.
In addition to your commercial responsibilities, you will prepare month-end management accounts, year-end statutory reports, and address any audit queries from the project side.
Requirements for Success
To excel in this role, you must be a fully qualified accountant with a relevant professional accreditation (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA). This is a full-time permanent position requiring at least 5-10 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in a commercially focused environment. Previous construction exposure is advantageous, but the company welcomes candidates from similar roles in SME sectors (manufacturing, hospitality, retail, etc.). Strong commercial acumen and effective communication skills are essential for success in this position.
What You'll Get in Return
As a valued member of the team, you can expect a competitive market salary range of €70,000-€75,000, depending on your experience. You will also enjoy flexible hybrid working options, with 2 days of remote work and adjustable start and finish times (typically between 7:30 am and 10:00 am). Additionally, the company offers a comprehensive pension scheme and the opportunity to join an ambitious and growing organization, playing a key role in the success of multiple large-scale, high-profile construction projects.
