We are currently seeking experienced and safety-conscious machinery Operative to join our team in Roscommon.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and fully understand the company's Safety Statement, and carry out all duties in line with health and safety requirementsOperate machinery and plant only if you are over 18 and hold a valid SOLAS CSCS, CPCS, NPORS, or equivalent ticket for the specific machineEnsure all equipment is operated safely, correctly, and in compliance with legal and site regulationsInspect machinery daily before use and report any defects immediately to the Plant Manager or Site SupervisorDo not operate defective equipment that could compromise safetyWear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety footwear, hi-vis clothing, and hearing protection where necessaryOperate machinery only for its intended use; seek clarification from management if unsureEnsure all site personnel are clear of machinery before movement or operation, especially when reversingWork with a Banksman when required and confirm clear communication and hand signals before starting workCarry out regular safety checks, including pre-start inspections, and maintain relevant statutory recordsCheck for the presence of overhead or underground services before excavation or lifting operationsEnsure machines used for lifting are positioned on stable, level ground with appropriate supportsEnsure all plant and lifting equipment undergoes the required Thorough Examination and certification in line with legislationReport all accidents, near misses, or damage to equipment immediatelySuggest improvements to working methods or safety procedures when identifiedRequirementsMust be 18 years of age or olderFull driving licence requiredValid and current operator cards/tickets (e.g. SOLAS CSCS, CPCS, NPORS, or equivalent) for machinery being operatedProven experience operating plant and machinery in a construction environmentStrong focus on safety and attention to detailAbility to work as part of a team and follow instructions from site managementJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €27,000.00-€63,844.73 per yearWork Location: In person
