We are seeking an experienced civil engineer to join our team in Cork.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Technical Oversight
Review structural and architectural designs to confirm compliance with project requirements, industry regulations, and client specifications.
Provide technical input during design coordination and problem resolution.
Site Management
Supervise day-to-day site activities covering civil, structural, and building works.
Monitor subcontractors, progress, and workmanship against drawings, specifications, and quality benchmarks.
Project Delivery
Manage projects or work packages from planning through completion, covering resourcing, scheduling, and budget control.
Oversee the safe installation of steel structures, cladding systems, and related building elements.
Quality Assurance
Implement inspection and testing regimes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Identify non-conformances, initiate corrective actions, and track resolution.
Health & Safety
Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring full compliance with H&S regulations.
Conduct site safety audits and implement proactive risk mitigation measures.
Commissioning & Handover
Manage inspections, testing, and final checks of structural and building components.
Deliver projects to client satisfaction with complete handover documentation.
Collaboration & Coordination
Act as the main point of contact between design teams, consultants, subcontractors, and project managers.
Resolve site-based technical issues and maintain effective communication channels.
Subcontractor & Resource Management
Prepare scopes of work and oversee subcontractor performance.
Ensure subcontractors deliver safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports, progress updates, and as-built documentation.
Support project planning through surveys, investigations, and design coordination.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Construction Management (or equivalent).
Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience in structural steel, cladding, and building projects.
Strong technical knowledge with proven problem-solving ability.
Experience leading subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a proactive mindset.
Full clean driving licence (Irish/EU).

Pay: €52,789.85-€80,701.63 per year
