Responsibilities
* Purchase and hire equipment, materials and/or services for assigned projects.
* Responsible for procurement to pay process from sourcing to assisting with invoice clearance
* Supplier sourcing and negotiations
* Secure the quality and timely delivery of goods and/or services required for assigned projects.
* Conducting bid analysis and processing of purchase orders
* Create and Maintain Procurement Schedules with project teams and planning function.
* Liaison with suppliers and accounts payable team regarding invoice queries
* Expected to work with only general supervision
* Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities
* Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as sites and suppliers
* Negotiate vendor alliances and rebate agreements.
* Assist in the reallocation or disposal of excess materials.
* Ensure that the Authority Matrix is followed stringently.
* Conduct site visits to meet with project teams. Some European travel required.
* Perform other duties as assigned by Line Manager
Essential Criteria
* Experience in a similar role within an engineering or construction company.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Work well as part of a team towards a common goal.
* Negotiating experience
Desirable Criteria
* A third level qualification preferably in supply chain or other related discipline.
* Previous SAP experience.
* Knowledge of Tool and plant for construction an advantage.
