Our waste-to-energy facility in Meath is the first of its kind on the island of Ireland. We process over 220,000 tonnes of residual waste annually, producing electricity to power 22,000 homes. We also operate a transfer station and solvent recovery facility serving large industrial companies in Ireland, providing tailored waste solutions.
Role & Responsibilities
1. Technically evaluate commercial requests for new waste streams to determine optimal treatment solutions.
2. Analyze and identify treatment options that maximize commercial opportunities for the Sales team.
3. Negotiate with external vendors to secure the best pricing, terms, and service levels.
4. Coordinate with internal departments regarding waste properties and packaging for treatment possibilities.
5. Develop a "total cost" concept per client and collaborate with Sales to maximize contract margins.
6. Support tender processes and contract renewals through market analysis and evaluation.
7. Work with internal groups to implement contracts, translating vendor agreements into operational plans.
8. Assist with vendor escalation issues in collaboration with Customer Invoicing and Operations teams.
9. Maintain technical and commercial data in the SAP system.
10. Identify and implement pricing and treatment optimizations as Product Manager.
11. Monitor market developments related to vendor treatment techniques and installations.
12. Create and maintain client information files detailing waste flow, treatment options, and rates.
Experience and Qualifications Required
1. 3rd level degree is required.
2. Over 5 years of experience in an industrial service environment, preferably in technical or commercial vendor management.
3. Experience in vendor management, communication, relationship building, and commercial awareness.
4. Ability to identify technical and operational solutions.
5. Waste knowledge is desirable but not essential.
