Malone Group is seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Pharmaceutical) (PE) to support the delivery of capital and operational projects within a large pharmaceutical facility located in North Dublin. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly, on time and within budget, aligned with business and regulatory requirements. The role requires strong technical expertise, particularly in pharmaceutical utilities and HVAC systems, combined with a practical, delivery-focused approach to working in a live GMP environment. This is a full-time, site-based role, requiring a strong on-site presence and close collaboration with engineering, operations and quality teams.

Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of approved projects across the lifespan of the projects, from initial concept design through to completion and handover
Develop project scopes, business cases, cost estimates, and execution strategies of these projects
Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and resources in line with established project controls
Deliver projects within a live GMP environment with minimal disruption to operations
Provide clear and timely reporting on project progress, risks and mitigation plans
Ensuring regulatory compliance (GMP), fire and access compliance, EHS compliance
Coordinate and manage design consultants, OEMs and specialist vendors
Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders across the site
Review and approve engineering deliverables including drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
Oversee contractor activities on site, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality execution
Support installation, FAT/SAT, commissioning and system handover
Identify opportunities for energy efficiency, sustainability and operational improvement, particularly within utilities and HVAC systems.
Qualifications
Degree-qualified in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or related discipline)
Experience in project management
Excellent organisational, communication, and influencing skills
Self-motivated, proactive, and driven to deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills
Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in project engineering within a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment
Proven experience delivering projects in live GMP facilities is essential
Essential experience in the delivery of purified water systems, utilities infrastructure and HVAC/AHU replacement projects within pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated environments
Experience delivering projects through design, construction, commissioning, and qualification phases is essential
Experience with a formal project management system
Ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
Preferred Skills
Strong understanding of:
GMP and regulatory frameworks
Pharmaceutical utility systems
HVAC and cleanroom environments
Commissioning and Qualification (CQV) processes.
Familiarity with BMS/SCADA systems and modern facility infrastructure
Strong project management and organisational capability
Commercial awareness with effective cost control experience
Clear and confident communicator, capable of engaging at all levels
Ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on compliance and quality
Collaborative team player.
