Assistant Director of Nursing Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to fill a senior leadership position in a nursing home setting. This role offers the opportunity to leverage clinical expertise and management skills to drive high-quality care and excellence in patient outcomes.
The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with at least three years of post-registration experience in a relevant field, holding a recognised managerial qualification (minimum level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications). They will have a strong track record of working in older persons care or nursing home care settings, with a proven ability to implement HIQA Standards and Health Act Regulations 2013.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for delivering person-centred care that prioritises dignity and respect. They will also have a basic understanding of IT systems, including excel spreadsheets, and a good grasp of applications for home supports and NHSS/Fair deal.
The Assistant Director of Nursing will work closely with the care team to develop and implement effective care plans that meet the unique needs of residents. They will provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, compassion, and continuous improvement.
* Responsibilities:
* Registered Nurse on NMBI live register.
* 3 years post-registration experience in a relevant field.
* Hold a recognised Managerial Qualification (minimum level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications).
* Clinical experience working in older persons care or nursing home care.
* Working experience of HIQA Standards and Health Act Regulations 2013.
* Fluent in English language (verbal and written) and be eligible to work in Ireland.
* Strong communication and listening skills.
* An understanding of the Assisted Decision-Making process.
* Ability to work well as part of a care team.
* Caring and compassionate and be passionate about providing high quality person-centred care.
* Have a basic knowledge of IT systems such as excel spreadsheets.
* Have a good understanding of applications for home supports and NHSS/Fair deal.
