Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the production operations at Prodig Attachments Ltd. The ideal candidate will manage the following daily processes - material preparation, fabrication, welding process, paint finishing, assembly, packing & dispatch, ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery of Prodig products. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical knowledge, and a focus on Lean manufacturing, safety, and quality. Key Responsibilities: Factory Floor Management: To oversee daily operations of the production team, ensuring targets for quality, safety, and productivity are consistently met. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the production team, fostering a culture of open communication, accountability, and continuous improvement. Lean Manufacturing: Implement Lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity. Health &Safety, Promote and enforce a strong culture of health & safety, ensuring all operations align with health and safety standards and regulations. Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality control throughout the production process, conducting reviews and ensuring quality standards are consistently met. Collaboration: Liaise with cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain, and management to ensure alignment on production, and delivery goals. Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement, driving Lean initiatives to enhance operational performance and cost-effectiveness. Key Requirements: Experience: Minimum 5+ years experience in production management role, ideally in heavy engineering or machinery manufacturing. Hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Education: Relevant technical or engineering qualification is essential. Knowledge or certification in Lean manufacturing or Strategic Quality Management is advantageous. Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams. Analytical thinker with problem-solving abilities, particularly in identifying root causes and implementing solutions. Familiarity with manufacturing safety protocols and best practices.
