Overview
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Breedon Cement, Kinnegad. This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to work with a leading organisation on a number of exciting and challenging projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Work as part of the maintenance and engineering teams.
* Plan major annual plant shutdowns.
* Management of contractors completing various project and maintenance activities.
* Work closely with the Engineering team to deliver on all key performance indicators.
* Assist in the execution of planned, preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities associated with all equipment.
* Proactive approach to problem identification and problem solving, applying a collaborative approach with all team members.
* Assist in troubleshooting plant issues as they arise and identify resolutions.
* Assist in conducting feasibility studies on improvement projects with emphasis on creating safer working environments, understanding environmental impact, production cost and quality.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Awareness of health and safety requirements.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office and engineering drawing.
* Excellent problem-solving ability.
* Good intrapersonal and communication skills.
* The ability to work as part of a team or as an individual.
* A Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum 2.1 grade.
