Our client, a growing technology-driven organisation operating at the intersection of data, analytics, and financial intelligence, is seeking a Senior Data Lead to help shape and scale their next-generation data platform and analytics capabilities.
This is a strategic leadership role with significant ownership and visibility across the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in defining modern enterprise data architecture, building scalable analytics infrastructure, and driving data-led decision-making across the organisation.
The role would suit someone who enjoys combining deep technical expertise with strong business engagement and stakeholder leadership.
What You’ll Be Doing
Partner closely with business leaders, product, finance, and operations teams to understand business objectives and analytical requirements
Define and drive the organisation’s data & analytics strategy and roadmap
Lead and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers
Drive the evolution from legacy reporting systems to a modern, scalable cloud-based data platform
Lead the design and implementation of enterprise lakehouse/data warehouse architecture
Define scalable ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and governance patterns
Collaborate on cloud platform selection and architecture decisions (Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.)
Analytics & BI
Lead the development of a modern BI and self-service analytics ecosystem
Drive best practices around governance, semantic layers, and “single source of truth” principles
Support enterprise-wide reporting, analytics, and data visibility initiatives
Governance & Performance
Establish architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices
Define KPIs around platform adoption, data quality, and business value delivery
Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure regulatory alignment (GDPR, SOC2, etc.)
What They’re Looking For
8+ years’ experience in:
Proven experience designing and implementing modern cloud data platforms at scale
Strong knowledge of:
Lakehouse / Medallion architecture
Experience building and leading technical teams
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to bridge business requirements and technical delivery effectively
Nice to Have
Experience with Databricks
Background in fintech, financial services, supplier risk, or data-driven organisations
Experience implementing self-service analytics and governance frameworks
Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or dbt Cloud
