Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC / Projects Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on the validation, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and optimisation of critical HVAC and clean environment systems in pharmaceutical, laboratory, and controlled environments. The ideal candidate ensures systems are compliant, efficient, and support safe, high-quality facility performance.
Responsibilities
Validation & Compliance:
Perform validation of fume cupboards, Class 1 & 2 microbiological safety cabinets, pharmaceutical isolators, and laminar airflow booths/benches.
Conduct Air Cleanliness Classification assessments for cleanrooms.
Identify non-compliance issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Install and integrity test HEPA filters and small ducted systems.
Commission HVAC systems including air handling units (AHUs), air, water, and process exhaust systems.
Support installation and functional testing of humidification/de-humidification systems and process exhaust scrubbers.
HVAC System Maintenance & Mechanical Work:
Perform mechanical maintenance for critical HVAC equipment (AHUs, humidifiers, de-humidifiers, fan bearings, process exhaust scrubbers, etc.).
Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance tasks following quality and safety standards.
Optimise system performance for energy efficiency.
Technical Documentation & Drawings:
Conduct HVAC system surveys and develop technical drawings.
Qualifications
Relevant technical qualification in Engineering, Building Services, Refrigeration, Project Management, or similar (preferred).
Experience in HVAC, mechanical, building services, or related environments, with a willingness to learn and develop.
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and mechanical installations.
