Data Center Facility Engineering Technician (Non-Shift), Data Center Engineering Operations
We are currently seeking a Data Center Operations Electrical/Mechanical/Control Engineer to join our Engineering Operations Team.
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
We support all AWS data centers and all servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep our customers' access to the innovation they rely on.

The successful candidate will oversee the operation and maintenance of the electrical and mechanical infrastructure for Data Centers (DC) in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud regions.
Our technicians operate and maintain AWS DCs' world-class mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
In addition to technical operations and maintenance, the candidate will oversee facility operations and ensure the implementation of safety procedures.
The role requires a motivated, self-managed individual who demonstrates initiative and proactively seeks solutions to problems while striving for operational excellence.
The work follows a process-oriented approach: the individual needs a strong willingness to learn new processes and adapt to rapidly changing operational scenarios with conflicting priorities.
The successful candidate will be part of the Engineering and Facilities team and will be responsible for maintaining availability for customers; ensuring maintenance and operation of technical infrastructure; and the upkeep and operation of the DC facility.
Key Job Responsibilities
Assisting in the operation and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical and HVAC equipment within the Data Center/Facility.
Developing a work plan for emergency repair of critical assets.
Troubleshooting all mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Operating under minimal supervision.
Creating and closing Work Orders with appropriate data, including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used into the asset management system.
Maintaining changes in state of Mission Critical infrastructure in support of corrective/preventive maintenance.
Testing quality, performance, safety, and reliability of products, equipment, and processes.
Acting as a front-line responder for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting, including AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatment systems, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems.

Basic Qualifications
High school or equivalent diploma
Professional Electrical or Mechanical Certification (National Craft Certificate (NCC), Registered Electrical Contractor (REC), or equivalent)
Knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls), or knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory
Preferred Qualifications
Data center engineering operations experience
Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical or equivalent engineering
