We are currently seeking a Health, Safety, Quality & Environment (HSQE) focused Site Engineer to join our team in Maynooth, Kildare.
Responsibilities
HSQE Duties:
Understand and implement the company's Safety Statement and HSQE management systems.
Ensure compliance with all statutory HSE legislation and company safety requirements.
Prepare and brief risk assessments, method statements, and toolbox talks.
Identify and report unsafe practices or conditions to management.
Take responsibility for site safety in the absence of the Project Manager/Site Agent.
Oversee quality control procedures in line with company quality plans, method statements, and inspection/test plans.
Site Management:
Liaise with internal teams (planning, design, commercial, construction, HSQE) and external parties (local authorities, utility providers, consultants).
Interpret and check specifications, drawings, and other contract documents.
Perform setting out, surveying, and levelling duties on site.
Prepare site reports, technical reports, as-built drawings, and daily diaries.
Manage requisition of plant and materials, liaising with the purchasing department.
Supervise and monitor site operatives and subcontractors.
Resolve technical issues in coordination with consultants, suppliers, and statutory authorities.
Planning:
Assist foremen in planning and reviewing upcoming works.
Carry out post-construction reviews to support future project planning.
Contribute to project budgets, cost tracking, and resource allocation.
Monitor programme progress and support mitigation of delays or cost overruns.
Coordinate site facilities and plant to meet project deadlines.
About You
Master's degree in Engineering (Civil/Environmental) or equivalent experience.
Modules in Water/Wastewater Engineering preferred.
Member of a relevant professional institution (or working towards).
Relevant site experience through work placements, volunteering, or similar projects.
Strong commitment to delivering projects safely and sustainably.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: €43,195.62-€73,601.62 per year
