Key Responsibilities
The Sustainability Programme Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering our Sustainability Strategy by leading various projects related to logistics, transport, warehousing, supply chain, and customer sustainability tools.
This individual acts as the link between department heads on sustainability, overseeing impactful projects. They serve as an ambassador of sustainability, promoting environmental responsibility to both internal and external audiences.
Job Requirements
* Background in sustainability, corporate responsibility, or environment.
* Relevant third-level qualification in Environmental science, engineering, or sustainability.
* Experience managing ESG programmes in business.
* Excellent organisational and document control skills.
* Self-motivation with ability to work independently.
* Awareness of carbon reporting and accounting, understanding of GLEC framework.
* Experience in community-based projects, environmental management, or social development work.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
* Effective communicator, presenting technical data to non-technical audiences.
Main Accountabilities
* Develop and implement Sustainability Strategy with stakeholders.
* Plan, execute, and communicate Sustainability projects.
* Support customers on sustainability needs, such as carbon reporting.
* Identify and propose interventions improving Sustainability performance, sharing best practices internally.
* Review Sustainability data, ensuring high-quality data collection for monitoring and reporting.
* Provide project performance updates.
* Foster engagement with local, regional, and national stakeholders on Sustainability issues.
Working Relationship
The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), working closely with department heads to drive Sustainability initiatives.
