Job Opportunity
The role of a Machine Operator involves various responsibilities, including:
* Loading and unloading containers and curtain siders
* Recycling sorting
* Conducting machine checks
* Operating plant machinery such as Fork Lifts, Loading shovels, or 360 Excavators (as appropriate)
* Maintaining good site housekeeping
* Operate mobile plant as directed by the site manager
* Ensure mobile plant is operated responsibly and only used for tasks it is designed to carry out
* Communicate with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient facility operations
* Read, understand, and follow risk assessments, work procedures, and safe systems of work
* NPORS certification for operating relevant machinery
* High level of operational competence in heavy machinery handling
* Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities
* Ability to work flexibly and take on additional non-machine tasks when required
* Attention to detail in inspections, reporting, and maintenance
