BIM Coordinator Job Description
We are seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to oversee the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) protocols across our construction projects.
The successful candidate will work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless collaboration and information exchange.
* Maintaining project BIM Execution Plans and ensuring their implementation in accordance with Employer Information Requirements;
* Quality controlling and monitoring subcontractor BIM models/drawings in line with Master Information Delivery Plans and Model Production Delivery Tables;
* Producing weekly clash detection reports and facilitating project coordination through design team/supply chain workshops;
* Assisting the Document Controller in maintaining the Common Data Environment (CDE) according to PAS 1192-2 protocols;
* Providing training and supervision to project stakeholders and site teams on utilizing models for coordination, cost analysis, and programming tasks;
* Modeling using Revit and producing sketches/drawings from BIM models to aid the site team as needed;
* Managing asset information collation and input into asset information models for handover at project completion;
* Serving as a project specialist in the BIM 360 software platform, addressing troubleshooting, providing training, and establishing guidelines for usage.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Strong understanding of BIM protocols and processes;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team;
* Proficiency in Revit and other BIM software;
* Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
