Junior Quantity Surveyor
is required for a well-established Main Civil Engineering Contractor to work on a
major road scheme in Kildare
.
This is an excellent opportunity for a
recent graduate
or someone who has completed a
college placement or work experience with a contractor
.
The successful Junior Quantity Surveyor will gain invaluable hands-on experience while working alongside an experienced commercial team on a live infrastructure project.
This project is due to commence at the
beginning of ****
and will run for
approximately two years
, offering long-term prospects and opportunities for career progression within the company as it continues to grow.
Duties:
Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager with day-to-day commercial activities.
Support the preparation of valuations, variations, and cost reports.
Help manage subcontractor accounts, procurement, and payments.
Assist with the measurement of quantities and take-offs from drawings.
Contribute to cost control and value engineering initiatives.
Ensure compliance with company procedures and contractual obligations.
Attend site meetings and maintain accurate commercial records.
Requirements:
Degree in
Quantity Surveying
or a related discipline.
Must have
work experience or a college placement with a main contractor
in Ireland or the UK.
Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
Eagerness to learn and develop within a site-based commercial role.
Fluent English and
eligible to work in Ireland
.
Full driving licence preferred.
