Key Responsibilities:
The successful M&E Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for reviewing contracts to ensure compliance and identifying commercial or legal risks. They will also manage procurement activities to secure materials and subcontractors efficiently, monitoring and controlling project budgets to meet financial targets.
Additional Tasks:
Prepare monthly cost reports, valuations, and management accounts. Improve commercial processes to boost project efficiency and profitability. Review key correspondence and address contractual issues promptly. Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, and final payments. Maintain strong client relationships and agree final accounts. Provide commercial support to project teams on cost and risk matters. Assist with tenders by preparing estimates and commercial inputs.
Requirements:
A third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics is beneficial but not mandatory. One year of experience in Quantity Surveying or a similar role is required. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in quantity surveying principles and a proven track record of successful project involvement. Strong operational awareness and keen attention to detail are essential in all aspects of commercial delivery. Effective presentation and general management skills are necessary to support client and team engagement. Excellent written communication and negotiation skills are required to secure strong commercial outcomes. Ability to multitask effectively and manage a high volume of projects simultaneously is crucial.
