As our organisation grows, we are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Finance Assistant to join our team and help ensure smooth financial operations.
Role Overview
The Junior Finance Assistant will support the finance department with day-to-day tasks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of financial activities. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive, and enjoys working in a care-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Process invoices, payments, and receipts
* Support payroll preparation, including timesheet checks and data entry
* Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
* Assist with budgeting and monthly financial reporting
* Reconcile bank accounts and monitor transactions
* Liaise with care staff, suppliers, and management regarding financial queries
* Support compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
* Provide administrative support to the Finance Manager as needed
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
* Previous experience in finance, bookkeeping, or administrative roles
* Strong numeracy and attention to detail
* Proficiency in Excel and financial software
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Desirable:
* Experience in the health or homecare sector
* Knowledge of payroll processes
* AAT Level 2/3 or similar qualification
