About Your New Job
As the Shop Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customers are well taken care of and managing a team of 25 sales assistants.
This customer-facing role requires someone who loves dealing with the general public, including a lot of agri/locals.
You will be responsible for overseeing 7 departments within the shop and ensuring smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service
Ensure customers are taken care of and receive excellent service.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively.
Team Management
Manage and support a team of 25 sales assistants.
Ensure staff are well looked after and motivated.
Operational Management
Oversee the daily operations of the shop.
Work closely with the inventory manager and on-site sales person.
Sales and Inventory
Manage sales targets and inventory levels.
Deal with faults and issues, ideally from an electronics retail background (e.g., Currys).
Working Hours:
Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM.
Open 5 Sundays a year (4 hours on Sunday).
Work Saturdays with a day off in lieu, as Saturday is the busiest day.
What Skills You Need
Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally from an electronics retail background.
Strong understanding of provincial towns and well-rooted in the region.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong collaboration skills to work with inventory manager and on-site sales person.
Ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively.
