We are currently seeking Production Operators to join a leading global pharmaceutical manufacturing facility based in Carlow. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a highly regulated GMP environment, supporting the manufacture of life-changing medicines while working with cutting-edge technology and equipment.
The Opportunity
As a Production Operator, you will be part of a high-performing Integrated Process Team (IPT), responsible for supporting manufacturing operations and ensuring the reliable supply of product while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor production processes and associated equipment using MES, DCS, and PLC systems.
Support manufacturing activities across a range of production equipment, including sterilisation, washing, and filling systems.
Perform cleanroom cleaning, housekeeping, and materials management activities.
Manage equipment flow, inventory, labelling, and sterile equipment tracking through automated systems.
Assist with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance activities where qualified.
Follow GMP procedures and ensure compliance with all quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in investigations, root cause analysis, change controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support Lean and Kaizen activities to improve operational efficiency.
Work collaboratively across departments to maintain a safe and compliant manufacturing environment.
What We're Looking For
Experience & Skills
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
GMP or pharmaceutical industry experience would be highly advantageous.
Understanding of sterile manufacturing or aseptic processing is beneficial.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Comfortable working with computerised systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Self‑motivated with strong organisational and time management skills.
Qualifications
Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) required.
Apprenticeship, Certificate, Diploma, or relevant technical qualification preferred.
Previous experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, food production, or other regulated industries is highly desirable.
