We employ over 170 people in Dublin within our Worldwide Logistics and Supply Chain Centre, and we are looking for a Local Distribution Planner on a specific purpose contract to cover maternity leave.
As our Local Distribution Planner, you will play a pivotal role in supporting JWA activities across EMAI DOS and BP clients. This role requires extensive cross-functional collaboration and clear communication with Customer Service, Merchandisers, Inventory Planners, Sales Managers, Warehouses, and Central Distribution Planning to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
What can you expect from your role?
* Collaborate daily with Customer Service to optimize product availability and manage allocation requests, maximizing sales opportunities and minimizing customer dissatisfaction, ensuring efficient and responsive service to clients.
* Manage and communicate the distribution implications of store openings, pop-ups, seasonal initiatives (openings/closures), ensuring seamless transitions, optimal inventory levels, local rebalancing supervision, and buyback coordination.
* Lead monthly calls with local markets and Customer Service to gather market insights and provide updates on distribution, ensuring alignment with local needs and proactive challenge identification. Provide monthly revenue projections for each BP area/customer to support sales planning and central allocation.
* Conduct in-depth data analysis using tools like Excel, SAP ECC/S4, Power BI to generate reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses that inform decision-making and guide distribution strategy.
* Identify trends, opportunities, and risks, track KPIs related to distribution effectiveness, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across departments, including Local Distribution Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory, Central Merchandising, Marketing, Logistics, and Channel Management, ensuring plan alignment and proactive information sharing.
* Monitor the automated replenishment process in SAP to ensure system accuracy and prevent disruptions.
Qualifications and Professional Capabilities Required
* At least 2 years of experience in Distribution Planning, Customer Service, or similar, preferably within luxury goods or watches.
* Strong understanding of Supply Chain principles, including demand forecasting, inventory management, and logistics coordination.
* Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools like Excel, SAP ECC/S4, Power BI, and MS Office Suite.
* Negotiation skills and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders effectively.
* Fluent in English; proficiency in a second European language is a plus.
