The Role
We are looking for a Café Chef / Kitchen Lead to take ownership of our kitchen operations. This role focuses on delivering high-quality breakfast and lunch dishes, running an efficient kitchen, developing new menu items, and managing food costs and standards.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys cooking, staying organised, and running a tight, efficient kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and deliver high-quality breakfast and lunch dishes
* Produce sandwiches, brunch items, and daily specials to a high standard
* Develop and improve menus in line with the café's concept and brand
* Manage food costs, portion control, and waste
* Order stock and manage kitchen inventory
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and HACCP
* Ensure the kitchen runs efficiently during busy service periods
* Train and support kitchen assistants where required
* Work closely with management to improve systems, speed, and profitability

* Experience as a chef in a café, brunch, or casual dining environment
* Strong organisation and time management skills
* Someone who cares about quality, consistency, and standards
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen
* Able to manage costs, wastage, and prep efficiently
* Creative with food and interested in developing new menu items
* Reliable, responsible, and takes ownership of their kitchen

Pay: €15.00-€17.00 per hour
