Key Responsibilities of Business Development Manager
1. Drive sales through inbound and outbound efforts.
2. Prospect and qualify leads via cold calling, email, and other channels, adding them to the sales pipeline.
3. Leverage prospecting tools and software to boost engagement.
4. Build relationships with potential customers in person, identifying and developing new opportunities.
5. Track and meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
6. Identify client needs and propose tailored solutions.
7. Play a key role in daily office operations and face-to-face client interactions.
8. Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to order processing and truck routing, with strong operational involvement.
9. Process online payments, cash, and liaise with Finance to ensure accurate payment handling.
10. Oversee debt management, ensuring accounts remain within credit terms — a core responsibility for the sales team.
