Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Site Leader for a large-scale project that will span 18 months.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in overseeing construction projects across various sectors, including education, recreation and leisure, residential, and commercial. They must have previously worked with a main contractor in Ireland and possess a proven track record of supervising projects to tight deadlines and high standards, ensuring excellent health and safety practices.
1. Candidates with either an engineering or trades background will be considered.
2. They will need to have experience in coordinating subcontractors, controlling programs with the preparation of look-ahead programs to facilitate the successful completion of the works on time.
3. Experience in preparing progress reports and chairing site meetings is essential.
4. Effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, is crucial.
5. Site set-up planning and security, logistics management, deliveries, and traffic management are key responsibilities.
6. The Site Leader will work closely with the Project Manager to adhere to the construction program, ensuring the effective sequencing of finishing trades to maximize quality and minimize reworking while monitoring resources, labor, plant, site set-up, and other overheads.
7. Familiarity with current Health and Safety Construction regulations is mandatory.
8. Regular liaison with the design team on construction issues and raising RFIs (Requests for Information) with the design team is required.
9. Issue requisitions for materials and maintain the site diary/daily log activities.
10. Monitor and control quality/work standards on site.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 7 years' experience as a Site Manager in any combination of healthcare, commercial, industrial, residential, or large fit-out projects is required.
