Position: Mine Manager

Location: Monaghan, Ireland (onsite)
Parker Stewart are delighted to partner with a leading multinational manufacturer in their search for a Mine Manager. This role will suit someone with a background in underground mining, who enjoys managing production projects, and working closely with on-site teams and external contractors.
Key Duties:
* Oversee all aspects of mine operations - safety, environmental performance, production, maintenance, and quality to ensure full compliance with legal and company standards
* Create and execute short and long term mining plans, including extraction methods, workforce and equipment scheduling, and resource allocation to maximise efficiency and safety
* Champion continuous improvement and WCM initiatives by analysing performance losses, enhancing productivity (including OEE), and driving a proactive safety culture
* Manage financial performance through effective budgeting, cost control, capital project delivery, and accurate operational reporting, while maintaining strong links with community groups and regulatory bodies
* Lead and manage employee relations and foster clear communication and engagement across all mine teams
Experience & Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field essential for this role
* Excellent mining industry experience, including senior supervisory and leadership skills
* Hands-on experience in both underground and surface (open-pit) mining operations
* Formal training and proven capability in project delivery, cost management, and operational planning
* Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication abilities, with a history of successfully running complex mining operations and leading large teams
