We are currently recruiting for an Distribution Manager to join the Distribution Team in Little Island, Cork.

Purpose of the Role:

The Distribution Manager is responsible for overseeing the storage and delivery of goods, ensuring they reach customers and outlets efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time. This role manages warehouse operations, transport logistics, and team performance to support the business supply chain goals.

Hours of Work:

40 Hours per week,  Monday to Friday.

Working Conditions:

Based at our Little Island site, with possible travel to partner sites for training & Development.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage day-to-day distribution operations, including warehousing, transport, and inventory.
* Plan and coordinate delivery schedules to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
* Lead, coach, and develop distribution teams.
* Monitor KPIs such as delivery accuracy, Accidents, and customer satisfaction.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and legal regulations.
* Liaise with internal departments (sales, procurement, production) and external partners (carriers, 3PLs).
* Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
* Manage budgets and oversee stock control systems.
* Prepare and present operational reports to senior leadership.

Skills & Experience Required:

* Proven experience in a logistics, transport, or distribution management role.
* Strong understanding of supply chain and warehouse operations.
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
* Ability to analyse data, track KPIs, and make informed decisions.
* Experience in leading and managing teams.
* Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
* Familiarity with transportation regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications:

* Professional certifications (e.g., CILT, APICS, ILM) are desirable.
* Transport managers CPC.
