Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Product Portfolio & Network Strategy (PPNS) – Synthetics Drug Substance to build and govern the single source of truth that powers strategic network decisions.
This is a strategic enabler role (not operational) accountable for the data layer, analytics tools, and standardized frameworks that improve the speed, consistency, and credibility of enterprise network strategy decisions across Drug Substance.
You will architect and continuously improve the data and analytics backbone (capacity, cost, external partnerships) and translate complex network analytics into clear, actionable insights for senior leaders—enabling resilient, cost‑effective, future‑ready network strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Data Ownership & Governance:
Build and maintain the authoritative network data layer (internal capacities by modality/scale; external/CDMO capacity, commitments, and constraints; directional cost curves).
Establish and enforce data quality, lineage, and governance standards to ensure decision integrity.
Own the Decision Support Tool dataset and visualization layer (e.g., dashboards) used by the PPNS leadership team.
Analytics & Tooling:
Design, standardize, and maintain reusable strategic assessment tools that replace fragmented, one‑off analyses and fragile Excel models.
Create scenario backbones and templates (e.g., capacity stress tests, network fragility and single‑point‑of‑failure scans) to drive consistent, repeatable assessments.
Continuously improve analytical frameworks and digital collaboration platforms to promote cross‑functional alignment and speed.
Decision Enablement: Provide robust analytics and insights to support strategic decisions:
Ensure decision quality through data integrity and standardized methodologies.
Support in preparing for key governance and stakeholder sessions.
Create and deliver senior level presentations to Product Portfolio and Network Strategy Leadership on status of program, risks, improvement and next steps.
Scenario Planning & Network Strategy Execution:
Lead network assessments across internal and external options using the PPNS network strategy process.
Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to define requirements and scope, develop scenarios, understand complex data analysis, problems and focus on resolving issues.
Translate complex analytics into clear, actionable recommendations with quantified impacts (cost, risk, service, flexibility).
Education
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, engineering, business management, or supply chain is required.
Qualifications
7+ years of relevant experience in Planning, Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related functions.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Strong grasp of cost modeling, scenario planning, and decision frameworks.
Proven ability to design and maintain standardized tools and templates.
Data integrity mindset with attention to governance and reproducibility.
Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem‑solving, with the ability to simplify complexity.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; able to collaborate and influence across senior stakeholders in a matrix environment.

Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, making the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organization in both written & oral forms.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
Strong customer focus (internal & external), including development and management of stakeholders.
