Offer description

Due to an influx of referrals from the Department of Social Protection, KLAES are seeking an individual to support the Team in Dingle for a 3 day week (21 hrs) per for a 12 month fixed term contract..

Main Duties

1. To provide all KLAES Clients with a confidential, individual, quality employment guidance service on a caseload basis for the duration of 52 weeks or until such time as the client exits the service.
2. To manage and operate the national caseload management system along with any in house bespoke database that may be required.
3. To schedule all your client appointments as per the operational guidelines.
4. To prepare an individualised Personal Progression Plan for each client within 20 working days of the first one to one meeting and identify supports required for each client.
5. To ensure all initial assessments focus on getting to know the participant, their motivation and to explore their aspirations and needs with Employment as the main focus.
6. To identify client employment goals, employment aspirations, and barriers to employment.
7. To identify, clarify, and manage the client's expectations of the process including data protection, confidentiality, and ground rules of the programme.
8. To achieve the best possible employment outcome for each client.
9. To manage your caseload efficiently and effectively in line with good governance and established company and funders procedures and guidelines and against defined KPIs (objectives).
10. To identify employment opportunities and make clients aware of these potential employment opportunities.
11. To assist the clients with CV preparation and job seeking/interview skills.
12. To liaise with Employers and accurately match clients with incoming vacancies.
13. To assess and ensure all clients are signposted internally/externally, with the specific objective of ensuring labour market engagement.
14. To effectively manage the discretionary training fund to deliver targeted interventions with targeted outcomes.
15. To liaise directly with ETBs, DEASP and other public and private training providers and agencies.
16. To provide clients with 'In Employment' support as required post exiting the service.
17. To provide assistance and/or cover to the KLAES team as and when requested by the Manager.
18. To provide oral and written reports to the KLAES Manager as required.
19. Ensure the effective delivery of the KLAES adhering to all quality assurance standards and training provision.
20. To demonstrate a willingness to take on additional duties as and when required.

Essential Requirements

* Experience working in the area of unemployment, employment, enterprise and/or career guidance would be an advantage.
* Experience working with barriers to employment would be an advantage
* Good Computer Skills, experience of a CMS system
