Job Description
This role supports the firm’s cybersecurity, access management, controls, and resiliency teams. The group collaborates with all lines of business and functions to design, adopt, and integrate controls, deliver processes and solutions efficiently, and drive automation. Its primary goal is to enable the business while maintaining protection, stability, and resilience.
As a Cloud Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls (CTC) group, you will ensure the secure and compliant adoption of Public Cloud. Your role involves identifying and managing risk-related issues within our technology. You will be part of the CTC Product Security team, aligned with the Azure Cloud Enablement (ACE) programme, contributing significantly to security initiatives.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a long-term information risk and control strategy for securing public cloud assets.
* Assess security controls related to cloud services, platforms, and architecture.
* Collaborate with business technology teams to understand and implement control requirements across cloud architectures.
* Review infrastructure-as-code security for cloud platform development.
* Support security programs through documentation and agile processes.
* Coordinate with CTC teams to ensure platform integration with security operations, threat intelligence, IAM, and network security.
Qualifications:
* Formal training or certifications in security concepts with advanced experience.
* Strong understanding of securing public cloud technologies.
* Team-oriented with comfort in virtual and in-person environments.
* Self-disciplined, motivated, and proactive with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
* Excellent communication skills for engaging with management, peers, regulators, and stakeholders.
* Ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
* Certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud are advantageous.
* Experience in developing or architecting within public cloud environments.
* Hands-on experience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code.
* Knowledge of DevOps or CI/CD practices.
