About the Role: We are looking to hire an Electrical Design Engineer to join a forward-thinking team that values creativity, collaboration and innovation. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside industry experts to develop high-spec technical designs, contributing to sustainable engineering solutions across a diverse project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Coordination: Work as part of a multidiscipline team, coordinating with mechanical & sustainability engineers and external members of the design team.
* Technical Requirements: Development of specifications, scope of works documents, tender packs, cable calcs, wiring diagrams, schematics, loop sheets and other electrical deliverables.
* Design & Calculations: Carry out preliminary load assessments and full technical calculations for building services installations, including cable sizing, protective device coordination, and lighting levels.
* Client & Team Liaison: Attend design team meetings with architects, structural engineers and project managers and contribute technically. Act as a main point of contact for external providers. Support senior engineers and management in client relationships.
* Quality & Standards: Ensure all designs comply with current Irish standards and building regulations.
About You
* Relevant Qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in engineering design, specifically for building services projects.
* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders and external consultants.
* Competency in industry-standard software such as Amtech, Dialux, and AutoCAD/Revit.
* Familiarity with industry regulations and electrical systems.
