NexVentur is working with a well established civil engineering and commercial building contractor seeking to hire an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of upcoming projects througout the Midlands.
This contractor is known for delivering high-quality regional infrastructure projects.
They are looking for a driven manager to take full operational and financial control of multi-million euro projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Role and responsibilities
Oversee multiple live civil engineering (roads, utilities, groundworks) and commercial build projects from inception to handover.
Work closely with the commercial and QS teams to manage project budgets, variations, and cash flow to maximise profitability.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, design teams, and local authorities, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships.
Manage, mentor, and support Project Managers, Site Agents, and engineering teams on-site.
Oversee HSE standards across all sites, ensuring full compliance with current regulations.
Skills and experience
Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager experience within the Irish or UK construction market.
Proven track record delivering a mix of civil engineering infrastructure and commercial building projects.
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
Strong commercial acumen, excellent programming skills (MS Project/Primavera), and a natural ability to lead and motivate site teams.
Must be based in or easily commutable to the Midlands, with a full clean Irish driving licence.
Pay and package
€90,000 – €100,000+ (Negotiable depending on experience)
Premium company vehicle / car allowance, fuel card, performance-related bonus, pension, and healthcare scheme.
Primary focus on projects across the Midlands region.
