Job OverviewThis is a senior lending role within the front office of ING Dublin. The Specialised Lending team in ING Dublin covers a portfolio of exposures across a range of sectors including Real Estate Finance, Food & Agri, TMT, Healthcare, and Manufacturing & Industrials. This coverage is provided across a broad range of jurisdictions including the United States, United Kingdom, Middle East, Nordic Region, Switzerland, Turkey, and the domestic Irish market.The Specialised Lending Manager will closely liaise with our sector‑focused relationship managers to onboard new clients across both large corporates and mid‑cap sized clients. This may involve working in a deal team to pitch ING’s capability to a client’s senior management and/or debt advisors, as well as undertaking intensive due diligence on the credit and commercial merits of a lending transaction proposal. The Manager will be responsible for performing credit due diligence, writing the credit application, negotiating documentation for new lending transactions, and monitoring tasks (e.g., period credit reviews) for a portfolio of clients.Roles & ResponsibilitiesOriginate and execute new, complex large lending transactions across mid‑cap and large corporate clients.Collaborate with sector‑focused relationship managers to screen the onboarding of potential new clients and make early recommendations to senior management on the suitability of onboarding such corporates within ING’s growth strategy.Take the lead on the origination and execution of complex lending transactions in partnership with key stakeholders including the Relationship Managers, Loan Syndications team, Credit Risk Management, and Capital Markets & Advisory.Perform commercial and credit analysis on lending opportunities for new and existing clients, including qualitative and quantitative due diligence, appropriate financial analysis, and stress testing.Execute end‑to‑end transaction according to policy and present the credit proposal for approval to relevant approval mandate holders.Conduct documentation due diligence in collaboration with the in‑house Legal Department or external Legal Counsel.Manage the life‑cycle of the portfolio, monitoring financial reports, market trends, regulations, and early warning signs that may impact the client and/or portfolio; conduct timely group reviews.ExperienceMinimum 5–6 years’ experience in the financial sector, preferably in one or more areas of Real Estate Finance, the Irish Food & Agri market, Acquisition/Leveraged Finance and/or mid‑cap sized corporates.Working knowledge of capital markets transactions.Proficiency in financial and credit analysis.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Capability to work independently.Experience in the documentation and due diligence process involved in transaction completion.General working knowledge of all corporate banking products, with a strong aptitude to quickly pick up product skills.
