Midwifery leadership is a cornerstone of our service. We are seeking a Director of Midwifery to oversee the delivery of maternity services in Galway University Hospitals.
The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for providing inpatient and outpatient services, as well as ambulatory services in Maternity, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Gynaecology, and Sexual Assault and Treatment Unit (SATU).
The Director of Midwifery will be required to work in any service area within the vicinity as the need arises.
A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign from which current and future vacancies may be filled.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the midwifery team to deliver high-quality maternity services
* Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and experience
* Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient service delivery
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve organisational goals
