In this role, you'll support children and young people in residential care settings through structured interventions, daily routines, and emotional support-helping them grow, develop, and prepare for more independent living.
Orange Recruitment is currently seeking Social Care Workers with a minimum of 18 months' experience in care.
Candidates should be working towards, or eligible for, CORU registration.

In this role, you will: Provide a safe, supportive environment for children and young people in care Contribute to the development and implementation of Care and Placement Plans Promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of each child Liaise with families, professionals, and services on behalf of young people Support daily routines including education, meals, appointments, and recreational activities Engage in therapeutic activities, age-appropriate play, and structured interventions Prepare written reports and maintain accurate records Participate in regular team meetings and professional supervision Respond appropriately to challenging behaviours, including the use of approved physical interventions when necessary What you need: Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related discipline Experience working with children in residential, special care, or alternative care settings Eligible to work in Ireland Registration with CORU or in the process of registering Knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and trauma-informed care Benefits: Public service role with a competitive salary and pay scales 39 hours per week on a roster system (including day and night shifts 25 days of annual leave (pro-rata) Paid travel expenses Paid mandatory training Cycle to Work Scheme Free parking Access to the Employee Assistance Programme Roster provided in advance Work/life balance supports Career development and progression opportunities Refer-a-friend scheme Why work with Orange Recruitment?
