Shift Team Lead – Production Operations – Night Shift
Overview
An established manufacturing organisation is seeking a Shift Team Lead to oversee IA and AU production operations on the night shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading production teams to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity targets are consistently achieved while supporting a high-performing operational environment.
This is a fully onsite position based in Co. Clare.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate night-shift production operations across IA and AU value streams, working autonomously within established procedures.
Plan and prioritise work allocation to meet production targets and customer requirements.
Provide operational support and supervisory cover when required.
Monitor and drive KPI performance through Tier 1 Daily Management activities.
Identify and support continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
Foster a positive and engaged team environment, supporting onboarding and development of new employees.
Ensure GMP, quality, and safety standards are consistently maintained, including:
Line clearance activities
Audit readiness
Batch History Record compliance
Promote and enforce operational policies and procedures with a strong focus on:
Health & Safety
Quality compliance
Operational excellence
Essential Requirements
Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 6 years’ relevant manufacturing or production experience.
Strong understanding of quality systems and regulated operational environments.
Ability to work independently and make effective operational decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
Proven problem-solving capability and ability to support team objectives.
Desirable Experience
Previous experience within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of GMP standards, production documentation, and quality systems.
Exposure to ERP systems such as Oracle.
Previous leadership or team lead experience.
Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
