AA Euro Group are currently recruiting for a M&E Coordinator on behalf of a leading Tier-1 main contractor delivering large-scale projects across Ireland, including commercial, healthcare, residential, pharmaceutical and industrial developments.
Due to continued growth in Munster, they are seeking an experienced M&E Coordinator to join their project delivery team across Cork City and the wider region.
Role Overview
The M&E Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating all mechanical and electrical services throughout the construction lifecycle, ensuring delivery to the highest standards of quality, safety and programme performance.
You will work closely with the Project Manager, Design Team, Subcontractors and Client representatives to ensure seamless integration of building services into major construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage all Mechanical & Electrical services installations on site.
Review technical drawings, specifications and submittals to ensure compliance with design intent.
Liaise with design consultants and subcontractors to resolve technical and coordination issues.
Monitor M&E subcontractor performance against programme and quality benchmarks.
Attend and lead M&E coordination meetings.
Ensure all works comply with building regulations, health & safety standards and company procedures.
Support commissioning, testing and handover processes.
Contribute to value engineering exercises and buildability reviews.
Assist in managing procurement schedules for M&E packages.
Candidate Requirements
Degree or trade background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
3+ years experience in an M&E coordination role (experience with a main contractor desirable).
Strong understanding of Irish building regulations and technical standards.
Experience working on medium to large-scale projects.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications.
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Desirable Experience
Experience on commercial, healthcare, pharma, data centre or large residential developments.
Previous experience working with a Tier-1 contractor.
Knowledge of BIM processes and coordination tools.
Commissioning and handover experience.
