The group's portfolio includes Briggs Equipment Ireland, Aerial Platform Hire, Laois Hire Services, and Galway Plant and Tool Hire and Balloo Hire Centres.We have a new opportunity for a Plant Fitter to join our friendly and successful teambased in County Meath.Key responsibilities:Servicing, repairing, and maintaining a range of welfare units, generators, lighting towers, and other hire plant equipment.Diagnosing mechanical, electrical faults and completing repairs efficiently.Preparing equipment for hire, ensuring all units meet safety and operational standards.Responding to breakdowns on customer sites and completing on‑site repairs when required.Maintaining accurate service records, job sheets, and parts usage.Adhering to all health and safety guidelines.Supporting the depot team with equipment checks, stock control, and general workshop duties.Liaising with customers and drivers to ensure smooth delivery, collection, and turnaround of equipment.What will help you to excel in this role:Previous experience within a similar role as Plant Fitter, Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, or similar role.Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical principalsThe ability to work independently and under pressure.Full Driving licenceGood communication skillsSupporting our team during peak season, including providing out of hours breakdown cover.What you can expect from us:Competitive base salary and paid overtimeCompany vehicleFuture development and career opportunitiesContributory pension scheme with employer contributions up to 6%Paycare and eyecare health schemeBriggs profit share based on business performanceWhat's nextIf you are interested in joining Future Events Hire, then please click on the apply now button and a member of the team will be in touch.Not sure if this is the right role for you?
