The Role
A new Export Business Advisor position has been created to support the delivery of an integrated range of actions and programmes aimed at increasing the number of first‑time exporters.
The role will work directly with core LEO clients to strengthen export readiness, improve management of business processes, and introduce innovations that drive performance.
The role is whole‑time, permanent, and pensionable.
Responsibilities
Identify and prepare clients with export potential for transfer to Enterprise Ireland.
Increase participation on management development and export accelerator/readiness training programmes.
Lead initiatives such as Digital Transformation, Green for Business, and Market Explorer to help micro‑enterprises build resilience.
Engage portfolio companies of less than 10 staff to maximise uptake of LEO supports.
Encourage and support LEO clients to invest in R&D and incorporate R&D&I into commercial activities.
Deliver on the Department's objective of creating employment through export‑led development.
Qualifications
Essential Education, Training and Experience
A degree level 7 or higher in business or related field.
Experience working with the micro‑enterprise sector and understanding its challenges.
Strong organisational and project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
Financial literacy to evaluate project proposals and carry out due diligence for funding requests.
Desirable Education, Training and Experience
Ability to influence and collaborate across internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent communication, report writing, and IT literacy (MS Office).
Research, analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
Understanding of compliance and governance requirements related to LEO funding.

Salary & Hours
Salary range: €57,322 – €68,689.
Hours: 35 per week (may vary).
Annual leave: 30 days.
