Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. The role will be split between our office in Westmeath and projects in mainland Europe. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering mechanical projects, with significant project management experience (6+ years) and a strong background in building services engineering.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
* Liaising with clients and design teams on procurement and engineering issues;
* Developing project site safety and quality plans;
* Mobilising sub-contractors and labour;
* Agreeing a training plan for staff and operatives particular to the site;
* Managing site teams in the effective day-to-day running of site activities;
* Ensuring compliance with programme, materials deliveries and engineering, quality and safety issues;
* Attending meetings with clients;
* Holding weekly progress meetings with specialist sub-contractors and ensuring that safety and training are discussed;
* Ensuring effective cost and sales control in conjunction with quantity surveyors;
* Ensuring productivity at work face is measured on a weekly basis;
* Maintaining project progress control;
* Ensuring testing and commissioning is carried out in accordance with the quality plan;
* Demonstrating all systems to clients;
* Preparing final accounts with quantity surveyors, submitting and agreeing with clients in line with company objectives;
* Putting forward ideas for continuous improvement of the company;
* Maintaining excellent working relationships with clients from project start-up to completion.
The successful candidate will possess:
* A strong background in building services engineering or mechanical engineering;
* Significant project management experience (6+ years);
* A proven track record of delivering mechanical projects;
* Pre-commissioning & mechanical system turnover experience;
* HVAC and building services experience;
* Commercial awareness;
* Excellent communication skills;
* Strong interpersonal skills;
* Ability to communicate effectively with impact;
* Good computer/PC skills.
