Role Purpose
We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. This is an exciting role involving preparation of Trustee Annual Reports, month end reporting and regulatory reporting, with scope for further development.
The role holder will work with the Group Financial Reporting Manager, Group Financial Controller and Head of Finance to ensure that all accounting and regulatory reporting responsibilities are completed on a timely basis.
Accountabilities of the Role
* Mainly preparing trustee annual reports and liaising with internal and external auditors where necessary.
* Preparing and submitting the monthly/quarterly/annual regulatory filings, including ASI returns in compliance with relevant standards to the Pensions Authority and the Central Bank of Ireland.
* Complying with internal reporting and reconciliation requirements relevant to this role mainly general and life premium reconciliations.
* Reconciling balance sheets of Cornmarket and its subsidiaries.
* Ensuring timely and accurate submissions to the Pension Authority and other regulatory bodies.
* Preparing Quarterly and annual Central Bank reporting and other statutory filings.
* Managing the financial aspect of wound up or transferred schemes.
* Assisting with bi-monthly VAT corrections and adjustments to ensure tax compliance.
Skills & Knowledge Required
* Degree in accounting, banking, finance, business administration, or equivalent professional qualification desired
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with an audit firm or trainee accountant or trustee accountant essential
* Strong spreadsheet proficiency
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Time management and organisational skills
* Excellent problem solving and decision-making ability
* Effective collaboration and interpersonal skills.
