Bid Writer Job Description
As a Bid Writer, you will play a vital role in creating compelling proposals that showcase our company's capabilities and values.
* Monitor procurement portals for project opportunities related to our strategic plan, ensuring timely awareness of new projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Review, format, and finalize all bid content, maintaining consistency and clarity throughout the submission process.
2. Print, post, package, or upload PQQs/Tenders submissions in line with deadlines, adhering to strict timelines.
3. Manage PQQ logs/timescales, escalating issues as required, to ensure smooth project progression.
4. Coordinate tender submissions, communicating effectively with team members regarding special requirements, deadlines, site visits, etc.
5. Serve as the central hub for receipt of client documentation and contact, liaising with clients on process, timelines, dates, and feedback.
6. Develop strong, technical, and original responses to allocated sections of PQQs and tenders from scratch, tailoring content to client sector, requirements, and USPs.
7. Identify and rework existing pre-written content where relevant, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
8. Maintain up-to-date standard materials/bid library (e.g., processes, experience examples, testimonials, CVs) for use in proposal development.
9. Understand and apply internal bid management processes and systems to assist and develop other team members when required.
10. Act as the main first point of contact for any tender-related matters, providing expert guidance and support.
11. Draft tender responses and send them to managers for completion, ensuring timely submission.
12. Proofread, check, enhance, and present completed tenders, meeting special instructions and deadlines.
13. Research potential clients to strengthen bids and generate innovative solutions.
