Job Overview
Alcon is seeking a Metrology Engineer to join its team. The ideal candidate will have experience in high volume manufacturing, project management, and metrology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, coordinating, validating, and implementing high technology metrology equipment and/or processes for the inspection of intraocular lenses (IOLs). They will also work effectively with cross-functional teams to drive projects forward and explore opportunities for collaborative projects with external research groups using funding mechanisms such as Enterprise Ireland.
Requirements
To be considered, candidates must have a degree in engineering or physics with an applied element of optics, optical metrology, and opto-mechanics. Relevant experience in medical device manufacturing, regulated industry experience, and knowledge of process engineering and equipment are highly desirable.
