Role requirement 1
Business Intelligence
* Collaborate with EYO teams to identify, prioritise, and address business intelligence needs through a focused analysis plan.
* Create targeted reports and dashboards for EYO teams based on identified requirements.
* Identify, extract and analyse programme and business data to provide insights to EYO teams and Pobal management.
* Support Pobal management by supplying analysis, reports and visualisations for Early Learning and Care programmes and operations.
* Assist the Funder Liaison Executive (Funder Liaison Unit) with detailed programme data.
Role requirement 2
Internal Research, Data Analysis and Reporting
* Collaborate with EYO teams to scope and develop research questions that can be answered with existing datasets and provide analysis to answer such questions.
* Assist in the preparation of reports for the Board or Department of Children, Disability and Equality and respond to queries from Funders and Parliament as required.
* Combine programme data held by Pobal with relevant external data sources and draw evidence based conclusions.
* Provide occasional support to the Data Analytics Early Years team by responding to ad-hoc queries from the Department of Children, Disability and Equality.
Role requirement 3
Data Automation and Quality
* Work with teams in EYO teams and Data Analytics to identify potential data processes suitable for automation.
* Automate regular reports and dashboards to reduce manual processing and decrease a risk of human error.
* Work with EYO teams and Data Analytics to define and implement data quality rules and metrics across programmes.
* Assist EYO teams in monitoring data quality across their programmes.
* Contribute to the development of documentation and standards for data governance, when required.
Role requirement 4

* Determine, develop and deliver training as appropriate to Pobal staff
* Induction of new staff

Required experience
* Experience in business data analysis, including gathering reporting requirements, data mining, analysis and data modelling design using data collected from multiple systems (e.g. internal databases, Data Warehouse, other datasets)
* Experience in developing reports and dashboards in relevant BI tools, such as PowerBI
* Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
* Knowledge and experience of performance monitoring systems, such as CRM
* Knowledge of R, SQL and databases
* Evidence of the production of high quality reports or written materials
* Proficient in MS packages e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, programme databases, SharePoint portals
Qualifications
* Relevant Third Level qualification (e.g., Degree) equivalent is essential
Desirable skills & knowledge
* Knowledge of statistics
* Knowledge of workings of the Early Years/community/voluntary/public sector
