Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team in Cork, Ireland.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of area engineers and providing technical support to resolve field engineering queries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a team of area engineers overseeing specific construction areas.
* Provide technical support to area engineers to resolve field engineering queries.
* Collaborate with the Construction Manager to monitor the construction schedule and prioritize off-site pipe and support fabrication.
* Coordinate on-site activities between Mechanical and other disciplines.
* Compile weekly progress reports for the client and Project Manager, gathering updates from area engineers.
* Collect weekly variation reports from area engineers and submit them to the QS/Cost Engineer.
* Monitor the scope of work and identify potential out-of-scope activities on-site.
* Ensure equipment is ordered on time and coordinate project activities with the offsite fabrication team.
Requirements:
* 3+ years experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer essential.
* Degree or Diploma in Building Services/Mechanical Engineering required.
* Experience working on large scale pharmaceutical projects beneficial.
* Knowledge of piping isometrics and P&IDs essential.
* Team player with a demonstrated ability to collaborate with team members to complete tasks.
