We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Credit & Collections Specialist to join their Accounts Receivable team in Cork on an 18-month fixed-term contract.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Credit Management and a genuine passion for credit control and exceptional customer service Reporting directly to the OTC Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing a large, growing debtors listing with a focus on minimising debt and overall DSO.
You will be a key point of interaction between the Commercial and Finance teams, providing solid judgement on credit risks and financial interpretations.
Key Responsibilities: Proactively follow up on due and overdue accounts and payments to ensure efficiency.
Manage all customer communications, including reminder letters and monthly statements.
Assess credit risk by interpreting financials and determine credit extensions based on policy and payment history.
Handle credit hold releases within agreed SLAs and resolve billing queries or outstanding invoice issues.
Prepare essential monthly management reports, including DSO, flux, and ageing analysis.
Participate in SAP implementation projects and support continuous improvement initiatives as directed by management.
Requirements & Competencies: A 3rd level degree in Finance or Business is required.
High proficiency in English is essential; an additional European language (French, Portuguese, or Italian) is highly beneficial.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is required.
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle or SAP) is a distinct advantage.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate sensitive information at all levels of the organisation.
Prior experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical sectors is desirable.
A self-starter with a "can-do" attitude, a flexible approach to work, and high levels of integrity.
