Full job descriptionOur boutique hotel, loacted 45 minutes from Galway city is now hiring for a Junior Sous Chef to join our team. This is predominately rostered 5 out of 7 days.Requirements:We require a full-time Junior Sous Chef to join our busy kitchen team.The successful candidate will work alongside the Sous Chef and Head Chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, monitoring ordering and stocking and will provide meal quality and consistency by following designated recipes.Responsibilities:Help in the preparation of all food menusProduce high quality plates both design and taste wiseEnsure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standardsFill in for the Sous Chef/Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessaryResourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situationOrder supplies to stock inventory appropriatelyComply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standardsMaintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customersRequirements:3+ years of experience as a Junior Sous ChefUnderstanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and proceduresExcellent record of kitchen and staff managementAbility to work under pressureAccuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutionsFamiliar with industry's best practicesExperience with open fire grill is a plusMust have a valid working permitAdhere to all procedures and guidelines as specified in the Employee Handbook and the Employee Safety HandbookParticipate in training provided by the companyJob Types: Full-time, PermanentAdditional pay:TipsBenefits:FlexitimeExperience:Chef de Partie (required)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In personJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: €14.00-€17.00 per hourExpected hours: 35 per weekWork Location: In person
