An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a well-established structural steel specialist delivering large-scale industrial and commercial projects across Ireland and the UK.
This role is ideal for a commercially aware and delivery-focused Contracts Manager with a strong background in structural steel fabrication, erection, and construction project delivery.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing structural steel projects from pre-construction through to installation and final handover.
Working closely with site teams, subcontractors, engineers, and commercial departments, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Projects include high-rise industrial and commercial developments involving complex structural steel fabrication and erection packages.
Key Responsibilities
Managing and supervising site foremen, steel erectors, and subcontractors
Overseeing subcontractor selection, coordination, and site progress
Ensuring the highest standards of Quality and Health & Safety compliance
Monitoring project progress and escalating commercial or contractual issues where required
Assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks proactively
Maintaining accurate site records for labour, plant, materials, and variations
Supporting project final accounts and commercial reporting
Attending and contributing to project and client meetings
Coordinating with contractors, engineers, and internal teams throughout project delivery
Ensuring projects are delivered on time and in line with contractual obligations
Requirements
Minimum 3 years’ experience managing structural steel contracts/projects
Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection processes
Experience delivering high-rise industrial and commercial projects
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Experience working with main contractors, engineers, and subcontractors
