Finance Manager Role Overview
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership and analytical skills, able to drive informed decision-making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop detailed financial forecasts by leveraging historical, trended, and real-time business insights to inform business decisions.
* Monitor departmental and functional spending, identifying and analyzing material variances using system-generated reports to ensure accurate accounting at all levels.
* Support month-end close by preparing journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
* Prepare and distribute comprehensive financial reports, interpreting current business performance data to identify areas for improvement.
* Conduct in-depth financial analyses (e.g. EVA, NPV), presenting actionable recommendations to management to drive business growth.
* Evaluate new business opportunities, including acquisitions, product launches, and strategic initiatives through scenario modeling to assess potential impact on revenue and profitability.
* Perform sensitivity analyses to assess the financial impact of key variable changes on revenue, expenses, and profitability.
* Promote and implement robust financial planning processes to support strategic objectives and drive business success.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5+ years PQE (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) is required.
* Previous experience in people management and operating as a strategic finance business partner is essential.
* Demonstrated experience in financial systems planning, forecasting, and analysis is crucial.
* Proven application of Lean tools and methodologies is highly desirable.
* Strong leadership, influencing, and decision-making skills are necessary.
* Project management and SAP implementation experience is a distinct advantage.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership across cross-functional and global teams is essential.
* Prior experience working in a manufacturing or similar operational environment is highly desirable.
