Offer description

Our client is an international leader in Universal Design and disability inclusion, working across public, private, and voluntary sectors. They don’t just help clients meet compliance; they future-proof organizations by embedding global standards of inclusivity into every project.
The Role
They are currently looking for a Senior Accessibility Advisor/Consultant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a construction professional—whether you have a strong site-based background, a design‑coordination history, or are a technically minded architect—to pivot into a specialist, subject‑matter‑expert role within accessibility. You will manage a portfolio of projects, acting as the primary point of contact for clients. You will ensure compliance with Part M / TGD M, BS8300, and Universal Design principles from design through to handover, while overseeing site inspections, technical reviews, and Revised Disability Access Certificate (DAC) applications.
Core Responsibilities

Project Delivery: Manage the full project lifecycle, from design appraisal to site‑based inspection and close‑out.
Technical Compliance: Ensure on‑site adherence to DACs, Part M, and BCAR requirements through technical reviews, site audits, and inspection plans.
Client Advisory: Serve as the lead contact, solving complex accessibility challenges and building long‑term client relationships.
Team Leadership: Provide technical guidance, perform peer reviews, and support the development of junior team members.

Requirements

Qualification: Degree in Building Surveying, Architecture, Construction, or Engineering.
Experience: 3–5 years of experience dealing with DACs, BCAR, and technical documentation. (Proven project management experience is desirable but not essential).
Accessibility Knowledge: Advanced understanding of Part M / TGD M, BS8300, and Universal Design principles.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to navigate complex drawings and provide actionable technical design solutions.
Soft Skills: A self‑starter with excellent communication, presentation, and client‑management abilities.

Why Join?

Competitive Salary: Flexible, dependent on experience.
Work-Life Balance: Hybrid working arrangements.
Benefits: 23 days annual leave + 2 company days, EAP, and social events.
Growth: Structured learning and development, accreditation support, and clear pathways for career progression.
Culture: Cycle to work scheme, employee referral programs, and an internship program.

Please note this role requires some level of Irish/UK experience due to legislation requirements and cant offer sponsorships
